Liiiiiiittle snag

Nothing better then starting off the official day 1 with a loud POP then one side of the truck getting lower after 15 minutes of driving… YUP THAT’S WHERE I’M AT! Not a flat tire (thank you whoever is looking out) but the airbag on the passenger side just died (rip homie, you’ve really been there for us) so now we’re sitting in a closed gas station googling places to find a airbag. Not a pretty location BTW. But on the positive side, Rockstar guava lime is pretty yummy! I’ll update a little later

ROAD TRIP!!!

Ok y’all so this lockdown isn’t letting up anytime soon and we’ve got a home on wheels so we’re outie! We were originally going to just go to Mount Shasta for a week but the boyfriend decided he wanted to drive across the country to surprise his family! It’s now midnight and I’m sipping on a Rockstar navigating is to our first sleeping stop while trying to find places on the drive… So far the only thing we have planned is Blue Bell ice cream in Texas 🤣 if you’re judging then you’ve obviously never had it before and I feel sorry for you! I’m super excited for this trip however, I really hope we take our time getting there because I’m so over constantly driving. For about 15 years I was constantly driving long distance, 5 of those years I had a traveling sales job and was in a vehicle for hours everyday! Yes I know I’m getting ready to move into a RV full time but that doesn’t mean everyday we’ll be driving somewhere new. Maybe once every week or 2 is my plans. Anyways! I’m going to try and post everyday so keep checking back!

Update

Yeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhh, so I know I never posted a drunken post. Why? Because that shit was DISGUSTING! Legit had to force myself to try each of the flavors! Now I’m not one to waste a good drink, but as I said THAT SHIT WAS DISGUSTING! As soon as I got back home I gave the rest to my neighbor because I just couldn’t. Seriously what is the big deal about White Claw? Guess I’ll just stick to wine and liquor (not together, ya nasty!) ANYWAYS! Oh Back That Ass Up just came on *twerk break* OK I’m back now. So this whole CV19 is really fucking everything up! Not only are people scared for their health but they don’t know how they’re gonna put food on the table! Now I know I’m not the only person who don’t understand why they closed down camping. As someone who’s trying to move into an RV and live in it full time this REALLY made me worried. Because what’s more socially distancing then camping? Weather it be in a tent or RV you’re away from EVERYONE! Even in campsites you’re AT LEAST 10′ away from the closest site. And that’s only IF you have someone next to you. When we’re moved into our RV we plan on boondocking majority of the time and only going to RV parks when we need to refill our water, drain our tanks, and when I need to feel pampered lol. So we’ll be in places where we wont even see anyone around us! OK sorry for the little rant, I’m done.

So where are we at with our move in? Well we’ve gotten rid of the couches and chairs that came with the RV. We like to cuddle when watching TV and that just wasn’t possible in those things! But it’s all good! I get to have my nice recliner to curl up in and do my work then we’ll have our nice deep couch to cuddle on while watching tv. Only thing is…. we still gotta make it. We decided to make our own couch because we don’t want arm rests and we want it deep enough for two people to COMFORTABLY lay on it but it still needs to fit in our slide out in the RV. Just seems like it’ll be easier (and cheaper) to make our own. Where our other couch was we put in a desk for my boyfriend to work at. His work is MUCH more needing of a whole desk than mine (mainly because I’m still in school right now.) We took out our king size mattress and made a new base for the bed because we put in our queen size mattress which is MUCH longer than RV mattresses. I know this all sounds SO entertaining *sarcastic* but well my life is REALLY boring right now as I’m sure most of you are going threw the same problem right now! So I thought I’d jump on here and just type up WHATEVER popped into my head that involved the RV (don’t need me going off on rants). SO YEAH, THAT’S WHERE I AM RIGHT NOW! What’s up with all ya’ll?

SNOOOOOOW!

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, we have snow! And if I can figure out how to use this site I’ll post some pics in a little bit! This RV park is really beautiful! There’s trees everywhere, the sites are decently spaced and there’s just beauty all around. So far there’s only been about an inch of snow but even that little bit add’s more beauty. I spoke with the lady working the front desk here and she told me that the storm is predicted to hit around 5 so I’m thinking that’s when I’m gonna start drinking then type up another blog lol.

Now I know most of you are like “one inch?! Calm down bitch” and you’re correct! But keep in mind I’ve never really experienced much snow. Sooooo yeah I really don’t have much to say haha OH MAN THE SNOW JUST PICKED UP!!! I CAN’T WAIT!! I almost forgot to tell ya’ll I got a sled thingy and hopefully I can find somewhere to take the truck and tie a ratchet strap to the hitch and hop my drunk ass in the sled then hold on for my life! Also I’m gonna see what all the hype is about with White Claw. Ok I’m gonna go snap some pics see if I can figure out how to get them on here and eat lunch! Gotta get ready to get drunk haha.

Spontaneous RV trip!

As the title says we just decided to get up and go! And no, it has NOTHING to do with the Coronavirus! However both my boyfriend and I are sick right now (not corona). ANYWAYS! With the freakout going on right now and both businesses and schools having everyone work from home it’s kinda perfect timing! Anyone who knows me, knows that I haven’t really gotten the full snow experience and I turn into a giddy school girl whenever I see it on the mountains in the distance! Soooooooo I decided our quarantine was going to involve SNOW! And wouldn’t you know it? Lake Tahoe was getting some this weekend!

Now because this was a last minute thing we just started driving towards Tahoe and found a place to boondock that was about an hour and a half away because we knew we weren’t going to make it there in this one drive. For those who don’t know what boondocking is, it’s also known as dry camping. Basically it’s just you and your RV. No electric hookups. No water hookups. Nada! That’s our end goal once we start living full time in the RV, so much more freedom and so much money saving…. Nooooo I don’t have ADD… OK! Sorry about that. So yeah we stopped at Red Hawk Casino which was free for us to stay the night as long as we visited the Casino… That night… BEFORE sleeping :/ it’s like 11pm and I just wanna get to sleep and then check out the buffet in the morning but security informed me that they weren’t supposed to let anyone stay the night without hitting up the Casino first. Well shit! OK I GUESS I’LL HIT UP SOME SLOTS (not gonna lie all I can think about is Beavis and Butthead talking to the old lady on the bus about all the “sluts”). The security guy on the phone tells me they’ll send someone down to give me a ride up which is SUPER nice because we’re in the furthest away parking lot which is at the bottom of a big hill, and the casino was at the top… Security offered to give me a ride to and from the casino whenever which was REALLY COOL! The casino was pretty dope, I liked it. Plus they had free soda and coffee! You know looking back now I could’ve just went up to the casino and walked around and not spent any money instead of loosing 60 bucks and still stayed the night there… Yes it’s kinda a dick move, and I don’t suggest anyone do it! Just a random thought.

Right so now we’re checked into the Zephyr Cove RV Park and according to the weather report there should be 1-2 feet of snow this weekend! I’M SO EXCITED!!!! A light hail has started and I’m hoping that it snows while we’re sleeping so I can wake up to snow everywhere because how beautiful is that gonna be?! Plus because we checked in late at this park I have NO idea what anything looks like.. It’s kinda like Christmas up in this bitch! We met one couple here so far and they told us they saw a bear earlier in the park so it’s gotta be beautiful. Right? All I know is our spot is right at the entrance and there’s some redwoods around us. The nice couple we met (I think their names are Kirsten aaaaaaand AAAAAAlex? I’m ABSOLUTE SHIT at remembering names) said that we can see the lake and beach from our spot so fingers crossed it’s a great view! It’s now 12:10am, I’m super tired and wanna get to sleep but let me check and see if it’s snowing yet, I just heard what sounds like light rain but I don’t know if snow sounds like anything… I mean it’s pretty windy here so maybe? Let me check, BRB! UGH! NO SNOW!!! It’s like a super light hail. It’s just super small so you can lightly hear them hitting the RV and it’s not sticking yet! Ok I’m going to sleep. I’ll post some pics in the morning and give you a small update. Also I’m sure I’m forgetting a lot of stuff that I wanted to say but because I’m tired I don’t know what that stuff is! GOODNIGHT!

Drunken blog anyone?

Sooooooo we decided to go to a RV park today instead of boondocking again and lucky me! They’ve got a restaurant here with happy hour! $3 drinks? Don’t mind if I do! Anywho, we’re staying at the Sugar Barge and first impression is I like it! Especially the bar 🤪. Ok joking aside this place is clean, the spaces are big enough to park your vehicle next to your rig and they all have a picnic table and small cement slab.

As for cell reception? Well T-Mobile is out! The park WiFi is okaaaaaay. Whoooooooo just got a wave of alcohol lol sorry ADD. ANYWAYS! Y’all need to see this view at this restaurant!

Beautiful right? OH OH OH!!!!! YOU CAN RENT WATER VESSELS! I say vessels because it’s multiple different ones. I can’t remember them all right now because… booze. Buuuut I know there’s paddle boarding, paddle boats, pontoon, kayaks, and a few others that I have NO idea what at they are right now. Sorry y’all. Oh crap how am I going to add tags to this post? All I want to do is be a smart ass right now lol. Hey now is the time for people to post comments for me to reply to because I’ll be totally random!

EDIT: OMG IT SAVES PAST TAGS!!! THANK YOU WORDPRESS GODS!

Shall we begin?

The past few years of my life have been pretty crazy! And I don’t mean that in a good way. Yes, I’ve had some AMAZING moments, but unfortunately the bad ones have been outweighing the good. I’m not going to to into all that right now, maybe sometime in the future I’ll share but that’s not really what this blog is meant to be.

I’ve been seeing this great man for about 2 years now and we really enjoy going camping and visiting all these beautiful places. Through our entire relationship we’ve been toying with the idea of one day living in an RV and seeing as much of the United States as possible. He has the ability to work remotely and I’m going to school so I can finish that up remotely and then with my chosen path I too can work remotely, so why not? There’s honestly nothing but benefits! You get to travel and see so many amazing places you’ve read about or seen on T.V., save money, meet amazing people and hear some amazing stories, grow as a person, and the best part is you’re free! If you don’t like where you live, you can just leave! You don’t have anyone breathing down your neck, if you’re wanting some peace and quiet then all you have to do is boondock somewhere and BAM! No one’s around. Feeling social? Go to a RV park or even a meetup and you’ll be in the socializing hot spot. Seriously it’s a win-win.

OK let me get back on track here. So only a hand full of people know this but my boyfriend and I bought ourselves a rig! I couldn’t be happier (unless we were living in it full-time). We’ve been spending as much time as possible going out and trying different situations as much as possible! We picked her up in Reno and stayed in a RV park there (which I LOVE and will go back again) then we stopped in Tahoe for a few nights before bringing her home. The next weekend we tried our hand at boondocking… ok so here’s my problem with boondocking at this stage in our journey. We don’t have a generator, solar, or extra batteries besides the two that came with our rig! Yeeeeeaaaah, not the best of times! Thank god for jumper cables and a awesome truck! We also tried our hands at stealth boondocking that weekend, I’m also not a fan of that lol. Don’t get me wrong, I love boondocking! We had a rooftop tent on our truck that we used all over and it’s great! However with the RV and all the outlets, AC/heater, cooking possibilities, shower, TV, and everything else that makes it more homey, I wanna use it all!

So what to do now? SOLAR! Yup we ordered some batteries and now we need to order some solar panels and slowly start that process because our end game is to be full time RV living! The sooner the better! So because we know nothing about RVing I thought it would be fun to keep a journal of this adventure. Then I thought about how I’d want to share all these different moments with my family (I don’t have friends, I have family! If I let you into my life and heart then you’re stuck with me fam!) Honestly who wants to tell the same story multiple times, ESPECIALLY when it’s an embarrassing one? Plus you forget if you’ve told a specific person so then you end up telling them multiple times and now you’re being annoying SO, why not blog it up and let everyone read to good, bad, ugly, and embarrassing stuff that goes on? Everything I’ve learned about RVing so far is from blogs and YouTube! Maybe I can help someone some day too? I like helping people so why not? Plus I think I’m entertaining haha well I’d probably be more entertaining in person or doing a vlog, but I REALLY don’t want to get all into the editing and buying equipment and all that jazz! I’ve got my school laptop and my cell phone now! PLUS I’M TRYING TO SAVE MONEY! I’ll post pictures on my journey and probably video’s… ok definitely video’s and snapchats and all that ESPECIALLY when I’m bored or we’re on a long drive!

Oh, I thought I had typed up a lot more then I actually have but I was wrong! Eesh I feel like I should say more but really I don’t have anything else to say at the moment because I’m so comfortable in my rocking chair listening to the birds. Super relaxing and I just wanna take a nap! All right I’m gonna post a few pics and call this blog started! SOMEONE GET ME A BOTTLE TO CELEBRATE THE MOMENT!
