Day 2 of the cross country trip

So I don’t know what’s up but last night EVERY rest area was WAAAAAAY over it’s max capacity. I’m talking ever car parking spot taken, truckers lining both sides of the road in and out, they were packing themselves in there like sardines! If it wasn’t so late I would’ve liked to talk to a few of them to see what the unspoken rules are amongst them for that situation because it would really come in handy to know seems how our end goal is to live in the RV full time. Plus it’s just nice to show respect for them, they work really hard and are away from their families a lot especially right now with this pandemic. If any truckers come across my blog I’d really like to have a conversation with you, I’ve tried on our CB radio but no one talks to me lol.

Right so needless to say, we didn’t stay at any rest stops last night. We were so tired that we were screaming along with the songs that came on and acting like total morons to stay awake long enough to find a place to sleep for the night. We were lucky enough to find a not so we’ll advertised gas station with a big gravel lot to stay for the night though… However, we parked in the way back to give the truckers plenty of space but didn’t know until we were in bed with the windows open that we were DIRECTLY next to train tracks (busy ones at that). Since I’ve been typing this 3 trains have passed so far. Side thought- does anyone remember when the graffiti on trains was really good? Like it used to be art and now it’s just bleh! Anyways yeah that sucked for like 10 minutes but thank God I was so tired that I didn’t hear anything the rest of the night! So now it’s the afternoon of day 2 and I’m sitting outside with the breeze talking to you guys. Something is messing up with our solar panels, but we’re not sure what it is because our AC Kris turning off and the batteries connector thingy ma jig keeps turning off! Sooooooooooo we decided to put more solar panels on the roof (well my boyfriend did, I cleaned and organized inside while randomly bringing him something to drink because we’re in the desert) he’s trying to figure out what’s up with the solar set up. I’m sure I’ll be stripping wire soon to help with the extra solar panels.

Right back to the trip! In about an hour and a half we should be leaving and continuing on with our journey. The plan is to sleep in New Mexico tonight 🤞🤞🤞 I’ve been on www.freecampsites.net looking for possible places in both Arizona and New Mexico (another train) for us to sleep tonight. Hopefully we make it to New Mexico so the next night we can sleep in Oklahoma and go out to dinner with one of my good friend Alexis!!! That’s all for now, I’ll talk at y’all later!

First thing you should know, I'm not your typical blogger! English has never been my best subject! You're going to cringe and want to edit the crap out of my posts. Second, I'm going to type this up just how I would say it. There's gonna be typo's, sassy moments, and a lot of honesty!
