Since I’ve last spoken to ya’ll I’ve moved into my RV for full time living! *Insert crowd applause* So what have I learned?? Well for starters I went threw all my piggy banks yes I have piggy banks! and I put AAAALLL my quarters into one container to make it easier for when I have to go do our laundry. Overall it took me about an hour. Two months later and I have yet to use a single quarter… Yes I do laundry! So for some reason in the RV parks their laundry mats use other options for payment. The first one you had to go to the office to buy a pre paid card to use in the machines. The second place we went to you could use your credit card or download an app and you can scan a QR code on each machine. Honestly I’m not complaining about the app because it’s VERY handy! So I can open the app while I’m in my RV and it’ll tell me how many washers and dryers are open, also it tells you how long is left on your machine, and it’ll send you a push notification when your load is done. So yeah that’s that lesson.
Next lesson learned? It’s kinda gross so you’ve been warned. We’re in a area right now that gets below freezing at night so we’ve got to keep a slow drip in one sink to keep our pipes from freezing, we’ve got a couple space heaters going to save on our propane they do have a drop off and delivery refill service here though which is nice. We don’t have a skirt because they’re just SO expensive and we honestly don’t know how often we’ll be staying in freezing temp areas. OK here’s the gross bit so yesterday, I go to the bathroom and do my business, upon flushing I noticed that it’s flushing differently then normal. So I take a closer look and flush just water to see wtf is going on…. Oh EW! There is poop water ALL THE WAY UP TO THE HOLE! I’m OBVIOUSLY not dealing with that so I call my boyfriend lol. I say that it’s got to be frozen somewhere and he says it’s clogged somewhere. After we walk around the outside and knock on things and act like we know stuff, my boyfriend asks me to get a big stick from outside to see if he can unclog the tank. Upon stabbing into the tank area with a stick he tells me that it’s frozen down there I AM THE CHAPION! So he stabs a bit to get the shit literally down and after it goes down we just put some hot water in there to thaw out the poop shoot!
So final lesson? It’s a easy one that I live by but obviously my boyfriend doesn’t… Some things it’s better to just buy the more expensive legit one and not the cheaper China made crap! Case and point, a transformer for the RV. I woke up in a nice mood, put on my unicorn onesie and decided to make breakfast in bed for my boyfriend. I’m in my happy mood dancing and cooking minding my own business when I hear a loud POP and turn around to see where it came from only to see a ember jump out from my heater followed by the glow of fire shit! So I lunge for the fire extinguisher and can’t get the damn thing off the holder! Now I gotta yell at my boyfriend to wake up and get the fuck out here to help me with the fire there goes my nice surprise for him he comes running out in his birthday suit with sleep in his eyes and is greeted by a fire! Now I have to abandon breakfast, rally the dogs up and lock them in the bedroom so they’re out of our way, get the vacuum and broom to start the clean up because fire extinguishers leave a BIG MESS! My boyfriend is trying to work on the area where the fire is and I’m trying to clean up the mess. Later on I find out that he was a little suspect of one of the transformers he got because the wires were thinner then he thought the should be guess which one caught fire? I of course gave him a stern talking to and told him to go buy the good name brand and to bundle up because we can’t use any of the space heaters and that was his karma for being a ding dong. We have security cameras inside our RV and I have a video of the fire so hopefully I can get it uploaded for ya’ll to see.
That’s all I got right now! K BYE!
